Moon Festival Cards

Sep 22  will be the Moon Festival. I made 4 cards to celebrate it.
It's all about the beautiful full moon and the houses.
I used Teresa Collins's Stamp Maker to make the Chinese sentiment stamp.

Of course, the rabbit is a must for the Moon Festival, so my last card was made by a rabbit stamp from Kodomo.

Golf fun

I bought three sets of golf sport stamps from sparkles n sprinkle.
They are so fun, I just can't wait to use them to make all kinds of cards.

Following are the cards I made.
Husband is a not so good golf player,
he laughed when he saw these cards I made.

I was featured on Hero Arts Summer Flower on Social Club Thursday

I used Hero Arts Spring new stamp CL426 Real Flowers to make this card.
I used watercolor skill to stamp the flowers, I tried several way, but the best way is to use an ink applicator to apply Walnut Stain and Wild Honey Distress Inks to the daisy stamp, mist stamp lightly with water then stamp repeatly.

I am very happy I was feathered by Hero Arts Summer Fun, they choosed summer flower cards for the winner on Jun 24, 2010.

There was another card I made by using the same technique.

Just want to share the happy news with all of my stamper friends.

Acetate Cards

I used Ranger Glossy Accents and Dusty Concord Distressed re-inker to create the background.
When dried, I used Stazon Jet Back ink to stamp the focal image on the other side of the acetate.
There are three cards I made from the big background I created.

I used 8 heart shape brad to secure the acetate on the cardstock.

I used Martha Steward punch to create a flourish background to match the butterful.

The 3rd one was actually a failure, since there was a big spot of glossy accents I didn't notice on the left top corner, sigh, blame my prespyobia ........ :(

Hope that you like the technique I shared here.
Have a great weekend.

Hero Arts H5426 Artists Butterfly

I just bought H5426 Artists Butterfly from "Created with Love",
I was thinking, what color will suit the butterfly the best.
So I decided to make several cards to find out.

This is the first card, my blue butterfly.
I used Hero Arts background stamp CG119 and a designer paper,
Fiskars punch. The sentiment "Enjoy your Day" is from Impression Obsession.

The second one is a yellow butterfly.
I used Hero Arts CG171 flower stamp and gold embossed it.
I also gold embossed the sentiment.

This is the 3rd card, my green butterfly.
I used Hero Arts CL428 Earth Flowers, stamped in two differnt green ink pads.

This the 4th (also the last) card, my red butterfly.
I just used a red designer paper and dry embossed a light yellow cardstock to match the butterfly yellow winds. Then tighted some twine around the card.

I like them all, :) since I made them, but I like the blue butterfly the most.
Dear bloggers, which butterfly do you like ?

Card Patterns Sketch #68

I am glad that Card Patterns Sketch 68 is exactly what I am going to do this week.

I am trying to tell the junior generation that time flies fast,
do you want to be the brown fading leaves or the green flourish leaves.
Live Life Wisely.

So here is the card I made.

CPS 170 Card Challenge

I saw CPS 170 challenge by accident, I was about to use the stamp I just bought from Impression Obsession E6590, this is a good opportunity for me to try.

Here is the CPS 170 challenge pattern.

This is the card I made.

I want to create a warm and peaceful atmosphere, so I decided to make another one in pink.

Here is the group photo for both cards.

Thanks to CPS, I had a lot of fun during the weekend to make these two cards.

Too big to handle

Here are the stamps from Hero Arts Summer 2010 catalog.

This is a very big flower from CL443.
I really don't have any good ideas for using this BIG flower. But since I bought it, I must use it, this is my principle of buying a new stamp. But this time, I don't think I can use it to make 3-4 different views, so here is the first test.

This is the stamp with the card.
This is another clear stamp set from Hero Arts summer catalog, CL450.
This is also a BIG flower, I believe it is cute enough to make a "A happy hello" card.

I used a dry embossed background to support the big flower.
If any of you have good ideas for using BIG flowers to make cards, please share with me.
Have a good weekend.

One of my favorite Impression Obsession Stamp

This is one of my favorite Impression Obsession stamp, F6637,
I ordered it for 5 months long, only able to get it yesterday.

Immediately I made the first card in pink, because I want to create a very soft and peaceful atmosphere on this card. The sentiment "Enjoy your day" is also from Impression Obsession.

It didn't turn out very good, all pink colors are mixed together.

I want to give it another try, so I made a blue color card today, I am still trying to create a peaceful atmosphere on this blue card. Sentiment is from Hero Arts CL307.

Here is a closer look on the main image.

Here is a more closer look on the image.

I made two more differnt colors by using the same stamp.

Card exchange with Shirley Ross

When I won the card challenge gift stamps from Impression Obsession, I told myself, by using these stamps, the first card I will make for Shirley, who handled the card challenge and manages IO blog so hard.

So, I used the smallest stamp, a strawberry, and with MASKING technique, I made this card.

Before I sent this card to Shirley, I decided to add Ranger's Glossy Accents to make the strawberry more juicy.

Shirley was very happy knowing that I am going to send her a card I made (Of course she knew, since I need to ask her for address.), in return, she sent me one of the card she made.

It was an owesome card, with very creative punch skills and so many layers to pop the card. It was a wonderful FUN SUMMER card, perfect for the season now.

Thanks to Shirley.
