Birthday Card Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

I just made a birthday card for my friend Doris whose birthday is in July, I am going to take this opportunity to attend Moxie Fab World Birthday Card challenge to add value this card.
I used Hero Arts CG281 Today and Always stamp, La Blanche one of the 2 Meadow Stamps, together with the Spellbinders Gold Labels 4 and Labels 4 dies.
I used stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the two stamps in the right place, then distressed the edge with Antique Linen distress Ink. The flowers were colored by Copic Markers.
This challenge ends on Aug 12, if you just made a birthday card lately, you are encouraged to attend this challenge. The winner will be announced on Aug 14. Good luck everyone!

Moxie Fab Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge

According to Cath, the Mixy-Matchy Style challenge is simply a matter of striking a balance between patterns, colors and composition to create something fun, interesting, and a little bit unexpected.
When I saw this challenge, I immediately think of Stamp with Zentangle, then color with the colors I seldom dare to use, so I started to work on it.

I picked a butterfly stamp from Inkadinkado, I stamped it with black Archival ink, then started to Zentangle in the rest of the white area.

After the Zentangle is done, I used Copic Markers to draw contrast colors. I attached a half punched gold cardstock, then adhere it to a black folded card.

When my daughter saw my card, she cried out and said “Mom, this is not your style, you always make the cards like Law-abiding type…………”, oh dear, does that mean I meet the criteria of this Moxie Fab Mixy-Matchy challenge?

Flourishes July It’s Sketchy Challenge

I didn’t participate in card challenge for years, today I saw there is a “It’s Sketchy” challenge from Flourishes, I feel like to give it a try.

Today, I want to make a pink card.

I used two stamps to create the background, then I used Heart circle elements Nestabilities from Spellbinders, and the Old Tea Rose from Flourishes to be my main image of the card. I colored the rose with my Copic markers, and distressed the edge with Victorian Velvet distress ink.

I used a ribbon and a button to decorate the card, then I am done !

Moon Festival Cards

Sep 22  will be the Moon Festival. I made 4 cards to celebrate it.
It's all about the beautiful full moon and the houses.
I used Teresa Collins's Stamp Maker to make the Chinese sentiment stamp.

Of course, the rabbit is a must for the Moon Festival, so my last card was made by a rabbit stamp from Kodomo.

I bought three sets of golf sport stamps from sparkles n sprinkle.
They are so fun, I just can't wait to use them to make all kinds of cards.

Following are the cards I made.
Husband is a not so good golf player,
he laughed when he saw these cards I made.
